This is because the Danum Valley Conservation Area is a naturalists' paradise. This area became as one of the world's most complex ecosystem and became a natural home for endangered wildlife species such as Asian elephant, banteng, clouded leopard, as well as a vast range of Sabah's lowland fauna. With 125 species of mammals, 300 birds, 72 reptiles and 56 amphibians, the Danum Valley Conservation Area is one of Sabah interesting place.
